Ontologies and Semantic Web (B4M36OSW)

We will teach You, how to disambiguate meaning of data using thesauri and ontologies and integrate them using linked data and semantic web technologies. You will work with various open data, learn how to

• consolidate, unify and publish them on web using RDF,
• develop an OWL ontology to describe RDF data and infer new knowledge from them,
• use SPARQL to query RDF data
• use SHACL to validate RDF data.

We will also show how to handle spatial data and how to support creating shared vocabularies/ontologies using NLP pipelines.
