How to handle applets

Applets are no longer supported by the internet browsers. To run an applet on Windows:

  1. install Java Development Kit (version 8.191 is OK.) Max version is 10, as the appletviewer has been removed.
  2. add its bin to the local environment variables (e.g.: c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_192\bin\)
  3. start a selected webpage
    • From internet: appletviewer http://www.personal.kent.edu/~rmuhamma/Compgeometry/MyCG/Voronoi/DivConqVor/divConqVor.htm
    • Localy: cd applet_directory; appletviewer index.html
