Software

In the course B(E)0B17MTB we will work exclusively in the MATLAB without any extension (Simulink, toolboxes, …).

Licence

CTU in Prague is the owner of the Campus-Wide License - a university-wide license for MATLAB, Simulink, and their extensions. Staff and students can use these products for teaching, research, and study. The license allows users to install products on both university-owned computers and private computers of university students and staff, in unlimited quantities.

Download

  1. Go to the MATLAB Portal provided by the university.
  2. Select ‘Sign in to get started’ in the Get MATLAB and Simulink section.
  3. Create an account with MathWorks using an email address from the cvut.cz subdomain. If you already have such an account, log in to it.
  4. Your MathWorks account will be automatically linked to the license and you will be redirected to the installer download page.
  5. Click the Download button with the current version. (Users can download older versions here.)
  6. Choose one of the supported operating systems and download the installer.

Installation

  1. The installer you downloaded is located in the default download folder unless you have specified otherwise.
  2. Run the installer
  3. In the installer, select 'Log in with a MathWorks Account' and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. When prompted, select the license you want to use.
  5. Select the products you want to download and install (Only MATLAB is necessary).
  6. After downloading and installing the products, check the Activate MATLAB option, and click Next.
  7. When requesting a username, make sure the display name is correct. Then continue with the activation.
