Ontologies and Semantic Web (B4M36OSW, BE4M36OSW)

Annotation

The course “Ontologies and Semantic Web” will guide students through current trends and technologies in the semantic web field. Students will learn designing complex ontologies, thesauri, formalizing them in a suitable formal language, querying them and creating semantic web applications on top of them. The second part of the course will be devoted to the efficient management of ontological data and other selected topics.
