Evaluation

For the block Generative Models, you can earn up to 28 points from three labs:

  1. GANs (simple programming task): 8 points
  2. Diffusion models (simple programming task): 8 points
  3. Presentation of a paper of your choice: 12 points

Upload all programming tasks (as Python notebooks) and the presentation (as PDF) to the BRUTE system. The deadlines are specified in the system

Instructions for the Week 5 Presentation

  • Select a paper on Generative Modelling. It should be a highly cited work and must be published in an A/A* conference or a Q1 journal.
  • Read the paper carefully. You should be able to answer basic questions.
  • Prepare a short presentation (8-10 minutes) summarizing the key contributions and results. Aim for approximately 8–10 slides.
  • The presentations will take place in Week 5 during the lab slot. The 10‑minute time limit is strict, as all students will be presenting.
