Thank you! === Evaluation === Nine students took part in the competition who completed the assignment. The final ranking was decided by other criteria, such as the level of the user interface, the style and quality of the code, the commented functions, etc. The podium positions are as follows: - Bosák Jan - Udatný Vítek - Švec Ondřej ===== Summer term 2018/2019 ===== === Competition task === **Clustering of n-Cube** * Task description ===== Winter term 2018/2019 ===== === Competition Task === **Direct visibility of triangular mesh elements** * * === Evaluation === The project was chosen only by Miss Žigajkova, who exactly fulfilled the required assignment. As a reward for her courage, let her be honored in the first place and a MATLAB license and other promotional items from Humusoft. ===== Summer term 2017/2018 ===== === Competition Task === **Estimation of robot motion using Bayesian filtering ** * * ===== Winter term 2017/2018 ===== === Competition Task === **Estimation of robot motion using Kalman filtering ** * * === Evaluation === Twelve students selected the project and five of them successfully submitted it in a form suitable for testing. The task was to estimate the position of the robot as accurately as possible using Kalman filtering based on the supplied data from the sensors. The evaluation criterion in the competition was the mean square deviation of the predicted position from the actual position of the robot. The final order of the competitors was as follows (in the photo from the second to the fourth place from the left, on the far right the project leader Mr. Karásek): - Ms. Kejvalová - Ms. Hladíková - Mr. Šimek - Mr. Smrčka - Mr. Purkrábek We thank all the competitors for their participation and wish them many more successes! ===== Summer term 2016/2017 ===== === Competition Task === **Finding the longest cycles in a graph** * (ver. 170320) === Evaluation === Surprisingly, the project was chosen by a single student this semester (probably due to a complex assignment). Winner: - pan Kubíček Congratulations to Mr. Kubíček and thank you for processing the task. We will prepare something for next semester that will hopefully interest more colleagues ... ;-) ===== Winter term 2016/2017 ===== === Competition Task === **Reconstruction of the Super 8mm film recording ** * (ver. 161025) * (run benchFilmProcess.m) * videos to process : odpocitavani.mp4, krtecek.mp4, svedsko.mp4, zajic.mp4 === Evaluation === The project was chosen by a total of 5 competitors and successfully submitted by 4 of them. During the semester, we gradually came to the trickery of the solution and therefore we proceeded to slightly reduce the requirements for submitted projects. First of all, it turned out that it is practically impossible to achieve 100% success in identifying blurred and static video frames with respect to the quality of input video files, and that algorithms can work differently depending on the video, depending on its technical quality, recording contrast, grain size., etc. The evaluation took place on videos that the competitors chose themselves and the beginning of the time period of the analysis as well. The length of the analyzed section was always 10 s and the error rate of identification was allowed a maximum of 10%. The overall evaluation took into account both the speed of the code and its error rate. Rendering speeds ranged from 0.122 to 0.643 s / frame. Final ranking (on the pictur from left): - Mr. Novák - Mr. Jarrah - Ms. Okonechnikova - Mr. Ščupák We thank all the competitors for participating in the competition and wish them many more successes! ===== Summer term 2015/2016 ===== === Competition Task === **Finding the minimum surface using the Jacobi method ** * === Evaluation === Over 10 competitors entered the competition. The project was presented by 6 of them who similarly approached the problem, while minor differences were caused mainly by the code's technical processing. Like the previous semester, the criteria were a) __ correctness of the result__, b) __speed of calculation__, c) __university of the code__. Criteria a), c) were binary criteria (tested on prepared examples), competition criterion was b). In the end, a larger grid was used for the actual measurements. Once again, they competed for prizes provided by Humusoft and the Department of Electromagnetic Fields - including 3 Matlab student licenses, as well as three training vouchers of their choice. The resulting measurement for the grid 100x100: - Mr. Cibulka (2.02s) - Mr. Štrambach (2.14s) - Mr. Neoral (2.28s) - Mr. Pavlát (2.62s) - Mr. Kůrka (2.71s) - Mr. Holeček (10.1s) /however, the 2nd fastest solution for original assignments with a 50x50 grid /. We thank all the competitors for participating in the competition and wish them many more successes! ===== Winter term 2015/2016 ===== === Competition Task === **Effective display of the parametric area ** * === Evaluation === Almost 10 competitors entered the competition. Everyone had the possibility to change the project to another topic during the semester, which in the end, some competitors did. The main prize of the competition was a voucher for an all-day seminar by Humusoft. The criteria determining the winner were a) __correctness of the result__, b) __speed of calculation__. The committee, made up of teachers, then decided on the first steps as follows: - Mr. Eichler (pictured in the middle) - Mr. Heller - Mr. Kletečka (pictured right) We thank all the competitors for participating in the competition and wish them many more successes! ===== Prizes ===== The prizes for the competition were donated by: * Humusoft s.r.o. (MATLAB distributor for the Czech Republic ), * Department of electromagnetic field.
