====== BAM36BIN, B4M36BIN -- Bioinformatika ====== ===== Anotation ===== The goal of the course is to explain the principles used in algorithms for processing biological data. The course contains algorithms for sequence assembly, sequence alignment, sequence probabilistic and grammatical modelling, algorithms used for finding connections between primary and secondary/tertial structure of proteins and their functions and interactions, algorithms for analysis of data from highly parallel measurements (especially gene expression), and algorithms for modelling processes as metabolism and regulation of gene expression. ===== Basic information ===== * Guarantor: [[http://ida.felk.cvut.cz/zelezny/|Filip Železný]] * Lecturers: [[http://ida.felk.cvut.cz/klema/|Jiří Kléma]] * Tutors: [[https://ida.fel.cvut.cz/~rysavy|Petr Ryšavý]], [[http://cs.felk.cvut.cz/en/people/barvijac|Jáchym Barvínek]], * [[hodnoceni|Classification requirements]]. * [[program|Lectures schedule]]. * [[courses:bin:tutorials:start|Tutorials schedule]]. ===== Useful links ===== * [[https://www.fel.cvut.cz/cz/education/rozvrhy-ng.B192/public/html/predmety/47/02/p4702506.html|Class schedule]]. * [[https://www.fel.cvut.cz/cz/education/bk/predmety/47/02/p4702506.html|Syllabus on the faculty website]]. * [[https://cw.felk.cvut.cz/forum/forum-1634.html|Forum]]. * [[https://cw.felk.cvut.cz/upload/|Upload system]]. ===== Distant teaching in this course in March 2020 ===== Please, get familiar with resources provided for the individual lectures and labs. The resources were extended for distant form of teaching, we send the extensions (readings, references to videlectures) by email every week. The discussion will be held on [[https://cw.felk.cvut.cz/forum/forum-1634.html|student forum]]. We will organize regular online consutations where we will answer your questions. The first one was on Monday 30th March at 12:45, the other will be announced by email and through Google Calendar. ===== Recommended literature ===== * Durbin et al.: Biological Sequence Analysis: Probabilistic Models of Proteins and Nucleic Acids, Cambridge University Press, 1998. * Lesk, A.M.: Introduction to Bioinformatics.
