XP17ELD -- Electrodynamics

The aim of this course is to introduce advanced topics of classical electromagnetic field theory, such as electric and magnetic vector potential, dyadic Green’s function, multipole expansion, artificial media, reciprocity and equivalence.

Students are assumed to be familiar with classical electromagnetism within the range taught at CTU FEE on an undergraduate level.

Organization of the semester:
The course typically holds two hours of lectures per week which are followed by expected another two hours of homework solutions. The resolution of all homework is a requirement for the finalization of the course. The final grade is based on an oral exam in the end of the course.
